Pam graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee in 1984 with BA Hons in Fine Art. Her tutors at that time included Alberto Morrocco and David McClure. That same year she was a Scottish finalist in the Stowells competition in the Royal Academy, London.
Since 2004, Pam has returned again to painting full-time, concentrating mainly on landscape and still life compositions. She works exclusively in oil paint, preferring the tactile quality of the medium above all else. She regards her process as an organic development; building them up over a long time, with many layers of colour and texture.
