ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

George trained Glasgow School of Art and then undertook a Diploma of Art in Drawing and Painting at Hospitalfield School of Art. His career to date has seen a mix of both teaching and working full time as an artist.

Inspired by the coastline and architecture in, mainly, the east coast of Scotland, he improvises the remembered essentials of a place; harbours and their bric-a-brac, mills and castles, their texture, colour and pattern creating a unique interpretation.

George shows across Scotland – and further afield – and is a frequent contributor to The Scottish Societies including the Royal Academy.
